As discuss
in Article 15.0 , street lights are controlled automatically by a photo electric
control device. The same street lights can also controlled manually pressing an
electronic push controlled switch similar to the discussed in Article 16.0.
By
associating the Photo Electric Control and the Remote Control Switching where
discussed in Article 15.0 and 16.0 respectively, street lights can be controlled
automatically and manually
The circuit
for automatic and manual control of street lights is shown in figure above (A).
A single pole double throw switch S is coupled between the RCS and the PEC.

By
switching switch S at AUTO position, the street lights will automatically
controlled by sunlight striking the photo resistor PR. Refer to the detailed
explanation at Article 15.0 .
By
switching Sat MAN position, the PEC will be rendered useless in controlling the
street light. It is now the RCS that will control the street lights manually by
pressing the push button switch PB momentarily. Refer to the detailed
explanation of the RCS in Article 16.0 .
