Remote Control Switching (RCS)

Remote control switching is used in centralized remote operation. See figure below (A). The control circuit combination of electric switch and a remote control relay (RCR). It can control building and street lights by manually pressing the electronic switches PBS. Each switch has an indication of ON and OFF with light emitting diode gives an information whether the equipment being controlled is at energized or de-energize condition.

Control Operation

Figure below (A) illustrate the schematic diagram of a remote control switching system. The electronic push button switch PB and the relay RCR are supplied by a 24 volts AC source. Momentarily pressing the electronic push button switch PB will send an impulse current to the relay RCR. By electronic means, the RCR contact (C-D) will close to energized the contactor C. with contactor C energized, contacts C (1-2,3-4,5-6) will close to energize (turn-On) the street lights.
Remote Control Switching (RCS) Control Circuit

Momentarily pressing again the push button PB will send another impulse current to the RCR. This time the RCR contact (C-D) will closed to de-energize the contactor C. With the contactor C de-energize contacts C (1-2,3-4,5-6) will open to de-energize (turn OFF) the streets lights.A maximum of 4 electronic push button switches PB can be connected in the parallel to control a single RCR.

NOTE: that in figure above (A), three push buttons (PB2,PB3,PB4)may be added.
